Dream: Land and Home

Ask any child where they want to live when they grow up and invariably, you will find the answer is a big house with a big yard. As an adult, if you give the same answer, you might be discouraged and told that the dream of owning land and homes is a selfish, materialistic one. We don’t believe that for one second.

Living in Metro Vancouver, indeed in most large cities in North America means that homeownership is out of reach. Many young families move to small towns far away from their parents and the communities they grew up in because they simply cannot afford rent let alone the dream of owning a home.

We dream of our own space, not just because of the freedom it will allow us to have dance parties and stomp around at 1:00 am, but because deep down, we all long for a safe home with enough space to house our families, but also a place where we have enjoy spending time and creating memories with friends and loved ones. It is not materialistic to want to achieve owning your own home; if you are focused on the moments you wish to spend with people you love, then we believe you should chase your dreams.
