Living a healthy lifestyle can help to increase the chances of living a long life, which in turn allows us to spend more time with the people we love. But there is no magic pill to take or easy diet to commit to in order to get in better shape. Here’s where an once or prevention is worth a pound of cure.
There are two specific ways we personally focus on our health and help those we know pursue a healthier lifestyle. First, we are a good example. We eat well and enjoy great home-cooked meals as a family every, single day. We absolutely love hosting friends and family around a big dinner table for a healthy meal. It sounds cliché, but talking about our day at the dinner table helps to keep our family on the same page and we can even use the meal to be adventurous and explore other dishes that we have never tried before. We believe that the healthy habit of going outside to move our bodies, walking, hiking, rollerblading and swimming keep us competitive in spirit and young at heart.
Second, we encourage all those we work with (and even our friends) to engage in a great personal development program where we challenge each other to develop discipline, leadership skills, confidence, a good work habit and a desire to keep each other accountable. By slowly developing a winning and positive mindset, with time, it can be applied to any endeavor, even getting on track to improve your health.
While we aren’t physical trainers or dieticians, there are some undeniably easy strategies to get on a path to a healthy lifestyle. One simple one is just getting out of the office. If you are able to transition from working eight hours a day in front of a computer to having a less sedentary life, great health is just around the corner.
